Richard Urgo, MD
Chicago


Richard Urgo, MD did his undergraduate work in Biological Chemistry at the University of Chicago.
After earning his doctorate at the University of Illinois College of Medicine he completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago.

Since then he has worked at numerous hospitals in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.

His interest in hypnosis led to certification by the National Guild of Hypnotists and other professional hypnosis organizations. Dr. Urgo is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, The American Academy of Medical Hypnoanalysts, The National Federation of Hypnotists, and other professional organizations.



Dr. Gilmour-Pangratz. R.N. B.S.N., Psy.D

Dr. Gilmour-Pangratz. R.N. B.S.N., Psy.D. Graduated with honors from Florida International University with a Bachelor degree in nursing. After which she was on staff at The University of Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center where she dedicated 17 years of her career to the Brain and Spinal cord trauma unit. During that period she held managerial and teaching positions. 

After many years, Dr. Gilmour returned to the academic arena working towards a Masters Degree in Social Work majoring in Forensic. She spent a year at The South Florida Maximum Security Facility for the Criminally insane before changing directions and transferring to The Miami Institute of Psychology earning a degree in Clinical Neuropsychology and graduating with Distinction. Simultaneously, she attended Nova University for a year studying analytical psychology.




Dr. Denise Frer

Denise Frer is a Consulting Hypnotist and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. She holds her Master’s Degree and Doctor of Education from National-Louis University, Evanston, Illinois. She is a graduate of a state approved hypnotism school and has thousands of hours of advanced hypnosis experience.

Denise established the Hypnosis and Energy Medicine Clinic within the Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove, Illinois that serves as an adjunct and complement to conventional medical care professionals. She maintains an ongoing hypnosis for cancer program at that hospital as well as at St. Alexius Hospital’s Cancer Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Dr. Frer also served as the Alexian manager of physician continuing education and assisted the staff with rapidly changing medical information.




Drake Eastburn, BCH

Drake Eastburn is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist and Hypnotherapy instructor. He is the published author of 6 books on the subject of hypnotism and is considered an expert in the field. Drake has been featured on the cover of the Journal of Hypnotism and has taught his methods worldwide. He has appeared on television news programs, radio, and in print media including the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News.

Tara is a Queen's University (B.Sch 1994) and CCNM (N.D. 1998) graduate. She is director of Rise Up For Health a women's health centre in Ontario, Canada with a special focus on infertility and hormone imbalance.


Karen Riley, BCH
Great Britain

Karen is a leading clinical hypnotist and hypnotherapist based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. She has an academic background in human biology and has extensive training and experience in Clinical Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Hypno-analysis, Suggestion therapy and EMDR.

She is a full member of the prestigious British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, a fellow of the NLPPA, the UK Director of the HypnoFertility Foundation, a tutor for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and a member of the Complementary Therapy Research Network. Karen is also an accredited trainer of hypnosis and teaches GP’s, medical consultants, midwives and nurses about hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

Karen successfully works with people from all over the UK, with a wide range of issues at her clinic based in Huddersfield, where she specialises in anxiety based issues, irritable bowl syndrome, fertility and childbirth. Karen can regularly been seen as the hypnotherapy expert in national women’s and health magazines, has made contributions to published books on hypnosis and hypnofertility.


 

Roy Hunter, BCH

Roy Hunter is the published author of several books, and an experienced trainer with a strong background in sales. Master the Power of Self-Hypnosis (Sterling Publishing, 1998) is considered by professionals to be one of the best self-hypnosis books available.

In addition to teaching professional hypnosis and advanced techniques to professionals, he teaches self-hypnosis to groups and clients for personal or professional motivation. Roy’s presentations include numerous workshops both in the USA and abroad, for groups and business as well as for international hypnosis conventions. Besides selling self-help since 1983, his sales experience includes insurance as well as various in-store products. His hypnosis text, The Art of Hypnosis (3rd Edition, Kendall/Hunt Publishing, 2000), is required reading at many schools of hypnosis around the world. The professional hypnosis training course he wrote and developed is currently taught by other instructors. Roy was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame in April of 2000 for his written contributions to the field of hypnotherapy. His latest book is Hypnosis for Inner Conflict Resolution: Introducing Parts Therapy (Crown House Publishing, 2005). He was awarded an honorary doctorate in clinical hypnotherapy (for lifetime achievement) from St. John’s University in 2004. Then, in 2009, he was awarded a Ph.D. from Alpha University and California University with a major in clinical hypnotherapy.

Margaret Gates, CH

Margaret has been employed with the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1990 in the Department of Education.  She has worked with programs that educate pediatricians, nurses and healthcare professionals that work with children.  In her 20th year with the AAP, she is currently working with exhibits and meeting services providing a venue for vendors to reach out to the healthcare professionals throughout the country in an effort to better provide for children.  She obtained her certification in hypnotherapy through the National Guild of Hypnotists in October of 1999 and for the past 8 years, has served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-America Hypnosis Conference which takes place every October in Illinois.

She now serves as Director of Events and Conferences for the HypnoFertility Foundation.

Christina has been teaching tantra yoga for twelve years. She has a private practice in Denver, Colorado specializing in Fertility and Birth by Hypnosis and relationship enhancement. She is an advisory board member of the HypnoFertility Foundation, Inc.


Stacey Horn, MSSA, LCSW, CH
Vail, Colorado


Stacey graduated in 1991 with a Masters in Social Services Administration from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland , Ohio . She practiced in Arizona between 1993 and 2005 in a variety of capacities- as a Therapist, Consultant and as a Program Administrator in the Behavioral Health System.



Maureen Ziwa, RN

Maureen is from East Africa and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Studies specializing in third world countries. She also is a US trained RN having graduated with honors and appointed to the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Maureen currently resides and practices nursing in the Chicago area.


Alicia Marcos Birong, CH

Alicia Marcos Birong is Certified Master Hypnotherapist and a Certified Professional Life Coach. She has 30 years of experience as a skilled therapist, coach, and counselor. Alicia holds a Masters Degree in counseling from Loyola University in Chicago.  Her clientele consists of all age groups and she specializes in working with children who have various behavioral issues including ADHD/ADD and sensory issues.

Alicia has worked in the nonprofit arena, the business community, and in the ministry. She is a certified NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) Trainer, and has presented at the NGH, Mid-America, and ACHE (American Counsel of Hypnosis Examiners) international Conferences; speaking on her specialty of Pediatric Hypnotism.

 She is a pioneer in the field of child hypnotism and has developed techniques specific to helping children through hypnosis. Alcia was the director of a hypnotherapy school in San Diego that offered an exclusive Pediatric Hypnosis component designed by her. The school was affiliated with ACHE.

Presently she has a hypnosis training center in the Chicago area offering an exclusive Pediatric component.She was Executive Director for a halfway house for women in Georgia and was Program Director for several treatment centers serving adolescents. She held the position of youth minister at the parish, diocesan and national levels; working in Michigan, Texas and Louisiana.

She is a wife & mother of two successful grown children and a grandmother. 

Alicia volunteers with various local non profit groups helping children and women with various transitions using hypnotism and life coaching.
