Meet Karen Riley, BCH Our National Director for the UK
Karen Riley is a leading clinical hypnotist and hypnotherapist based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. She has an academic background in human biology and has extensive training and experience in Clinical Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Hypno-analysis, Suggestion therapy and EMDR.
She is a full member of the prestigious British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, a fellow of the NLPPA, the UK Director of the HypnoFertility Foundation, a tutor for the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and a member of the Complementary Therapy Research Network. Karen is also an accredited trainer of hypnosis and teaches GP’s, medical consultants, midwives and nurses about hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
Karen successfully works with people from all over the UK, with a wide range of issues at her clinic based in Huddersfield, where she specialises in anxiety based issues, irritable bowl syndrome, fertility and childbirth. Karen can regularly been seen as the hypnotherapy expert in national women’s and health magazines, has made contributions to published books on hypnosis and hypnofertility. Karen is the creator of the internationally selling fertility and conception hypnosis programme.
Karen uses hypnosis extensively in her own life and has had a full course of hypno-analysis as part of her training. Karen has given birth twice, using hypnosis as her only form of pain relief!
Karen offers a wide range of hypnotherapeutic interventions to her clients, that tackle both the root cause of symptoms and the symptoms themselves. She knows that therapy must be tailored to each individual, and takes great care to understand each client and their individual needs. Karen offers all new clients a free 30 minute consultation where she can assess that treatment with hypnosis is suitable for that client and creates an individual therapy programme for that client. This consultation process also allows the client time to assess and confirm that Karen is the correct therapist for them before any therapy begins (absolutely essential to the therapeutic process).
Meet our Australian National Director Alan Patching, Board Certified Hypnotist
Alan Patching is our newly appointed Regional Director in Australia.After a high profile career in construction which culminated in his joint appointment as CEO of the company which owned the Sydney Olympic Stadium and as Project Director responsible for the design construction and pre-Olympic operations for the largest Olympic venue ever constructed, Alan moved from construction into full time hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. He has held Master Practitioner and Trainer certifications in NLP having completed the latter with Dr Richard Bandler the co-founder of NLP.He has studied various aspects of psychotherapy and human behaviour over many years. Alan holds NGH (USA) Board Certification and Clinical Hypnotism Certification, and is an NGH Certified Instructor.He holds an Australian Diploma in Counselling and Hypnotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapeutic Arts and Sciences from the UK Academy of Hypnotherapeutic Arts and Sciences.He has also earned his Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy from the British Accreditation Council accredited National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in the UK. Alan still holds an adjunct professorship at Bond University where he occasionally assists with lecturing and mentoring construction students, but by far the majority of his time these days is spent working in the areas of performance enhancement (business people, sports people and entertainers) and general clinical work with an emphasis on women’s issues.
