Many of you have received harassing e-mails and phony cease and desist orders from Michelle Leclaire O’Neil under the name of what we have concluded is a fictitious attorney: Leslie Rollins. O’Neil has attempted to obtain money from HypnoFertility Foundation Certified Consultants by threatening to include them in “a lawsuit” unless they pay money directly to her. O’Neil’s claims to own the HypnoFertility® term are mistaken—she obtained the federal mark, we contend, illegally by failure to disclose Lynsi Eastburn’s Colorado trademark and the HypnoFertility Foundation’s corporate license.
We believe that this is illegal conduct and she has been repeatedly notified of this fact by our attorney. We have filed a complaint against her with the US Patent and Trademark office and are taking action against her to enforce our rights. It is obvious to us that O’Neil claimed the name HypnoFertility in spite of our registrations once she discovered it was, indeed, growing.
Looking back over the past decade anyone researching HypnoFertility will find: Lynsi Eastburn on Denver 7 News, Lynsi Eastburn in Conceive Magazine, Lynsi Eastburn in Cosmopolitan Pregnancy, Lynsi Eastburn on CBS News across the United States, Lynsi Eastburn on Toronto’s Breakfast Television, Lynsi Eastburn on Canada’s At Home Show, Lynsi Eastburn in several media venues in Australia in 2007, Lynsi Eastburn’s 2005 Hypnosis Research Award from the National Guild of Hypnotists for her groundbreaking work in the fertility hypnosis field, Lynsi Eastburn’s 2005 Education and Literature Award from the HypnoBirthing Institute for her groundbreaking work in the fertility hypnosis field, the launch of the HypnoFertility training in 2003, the establishment of hypnofertility.com in 2002, the launch of It’s Conceivable! in 2006, Lynsi Eastburn speaking for Resolve at UCLA, Lynsi Eastburn’s worldwide HypnoFertility trainings including Toronto, Vancouver, LA, San Jose, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Austin, Phoenix, New York, Sydney, Belfast, numerous England cities . . .; Lynsi Eastburn and Art Leidecker’s launch of The non-profit HypnoFertility Foundation in 2009, The HypnoFertility Foundation’s HypnoFertility Training Caribbean Cruise in February 2010, The research conducted by Boston University, Lynsi Eastburn’s appearance on Lifetime Television on behalf of the HypnoFertility Foundation in February 2011 . . . We are listing all this not to boast but rather to inform.
Lynsi Eastburn has been repeatedly publicly attacked by Michelle Leclaire O’Neil and also by the HypnoBirthing Institute’s Marie Mongan (and several of her faculty members). We have documented every bit of their conduct and equate it to nothing more than professional jealousy; we give it no further merit.
We appreciate the countless e-mails and forwards of their derogatory material and have kept files on all of it. Many of you have asked why we have not taken a more aggressive stance, however we have a solid reputation and please know that these attacks will not go unacknowledged. We simply do not wish to stoop to these negative tactics and have refrained from public comment unless necessary. Your loyalty, respect, and support are greatly appreciated; and we also recognize that everyone should be able to run their practices in peace: members of whatever organizations they desire, and trained in any and all methods they feel will best enhance their skills.
Lynsi Eastburn had the foresight to recognize the need for, and the value of, the application of hypnosis for fertility issues and she has worked tirelessly to make its effectiveness known worldwide. We have been the leaders in this field and Lynsi has elected to direct her energy toward the promotion of her work for the benefit of her clients and those who study with her.
